We visited this establish in August 2017. The staff was very friendly, but they were extremely slow. Granted, we were a party of seven, but it took over an hour to prepare and serve grits, eggs, bacon, and toast! The food was simply ok and overpriced. I must say the atmosphere and deco was wonderful. The music selection included some of my favorites like Sam Cooke, the Beatles, etc. Still, because we were there to eat and not sight-see, I won't return.
In town celebrating Mom’s Big 60. Really nice atmosphere. New Orleans style shot gun house and decor. Music was nice. Shrimp and Grits were yummy. Service was slow. Really nice people though. The owner said they will be moving to a bigger spot soon. I would go back.
Horrible experience ! So sad, because the place is lovely, with New Orleans atmosphere, of course. However, service was the worst I've had anywhere. They brought these beautiful beignets on one plate, without any napkins, silverware or individual plates for us. We had to ask multiple times for everything we needed. We basically had no waitress or waiter assigned to our table. After 3 tables, who came in after us left before us, 3 of us finally got our food. The order was wrong on 2. We sat watching our food get cold as other 2 guests waited on their food. After another 15 min, we finally complained. We just told them to take it back and we left. They didnt charge us for the coffee and beignets.
I ordered a Mad Lane Walker from a lovely young lady named Jessica. The Sandwich was just perfectly done and very well put together like a fancy french sandwich should be. Amazing flavor with a very tasty and good cut of filet. Food came out in under 10 minutes! I will be coming back and visiting their new location on Main St. when it opens soon. Can't wait!!
The cafe is in a beautiful old cottage with floor air vents and beautiful hard wood floors. The staff was extremely friendly and personable. I had a breakfast sandwich that was delicious. The barista also made my sweet cream latte perfectly. The whole atmosphere made me want to stay longer. Excellent experience and I highly recommend this cafe if you're passing through.
