I trust Dr. Acosta and her staff and that's why I have been taking my pets to her for over 4 years and my dog there every day for over 2 years.
Greatest place for your fur babies needs
Dr. Acosta and her staff are very caring and professional. She always takes the time to answer every question, and makes sure I understand her instructions and what kind of continuing care to expect for my animals - a dog and two cats. I can tell everyone here is a real animal lover. The staff even calls to check up about whether or not treatments are working or to remind me of a next appointment.
I've been taking my puppy to Acosta for 2 years and I think the care my dog receives is excellent! My pup is the happiest dog you will ever see and he lives going there. He gets great treatment and they even celebrate his birthday with a party every year.
Another tornado warning (sirens going off) and this place has the dogs outside. Third time this has happened that I Have witnessed.
We were evacuating from Hurricane Irma and found ourselves with our 4 fur babies in Gulfport, Ms. On Sat am, my husband suggested we try to find a boarding facility so that we wouldn't be tied to our room for 4 solid days. Fortunately, we brought everyone's records with us and had proof of vaccs and bordetells vaccs for 3 of our dogs. One dog wasn't current on her bordetello and they said they could give it to her, but she would have to stay in isolation, but their isolation kennel was full. So we boarded the 3 who were good on everything. I felt their fee of $15 per dog per day was very reasonable, (we pay $27 at home). Everyone gets a capstar ($5 per dog) and everyone has to be current on flea control or you will need to buy a Nextgard for them ($18). Staff was super friendly and the kennel manager said that of all of my 3, my vicious Cujo warmed up to her and was the sweetest! That really set my mind at ease. I didn't get to see the actual boarding set up, so I don't know if they are in runs or small cages. A customer in the waiting area assured me this was one of the best boarding facilities, she said ranked #2 in the state (or maybe the city?) Regardless, we are now thinking of returning to the area this coming summer or Spring break to visit New Orleans and will use this facility again when we are in the area! Thank you to the staff for making a super stressful couple of days, less so! We know our babies were well cared for!
I bring both my cat and dog there for their checkups and shots and have always been pleased. When my pup was not quite 3 months old and ate some kind of poison or chemical that nearly killed him, Dr. Acosta nursed him through.
