Cheeky Monkey= birthday disappointment. Went in to try cupcakes for first time. Bought the Carmel apple cupcake and vanilla blueberry cupcake. Little filling, plain kinda moist cake, sweet bleh frosting. Looked pretty. Plus the gingerbread cookies were not gingery at all. Too much flour. I can make better. You're better off going to Small cakes or Tina's. The customer service was pushy but sweet. Truly disappointed.
Cheeky is awesome. There are others in the area that are good, but Cheeky Monkey is bomb. I wouldn't go anywhere else and neither should you. Go out of your way to try this place, the girls working there are delightful as well. If I could give 10 starts I would.
Cheeky Monkey absolutely knocked it out of the park with my wedding cake! Getting married two days after thanksgiving, I was running into issues with bakeries saying they’d have to freeze the cakes and use fondant, neither of which I was fond of. However, at my consultation, Cheeky Monkey assured me the cake would absolutely be fresh with frosting. They were helpful throughout the planning process and very willing to work with other vendors to ensure the cake was exactly how I wanted. Not only was it perfect aesthetically, but it tasted DELICIOUS!
